Relax and create in Theta

The theta brainwave is active when we are in a dream state, just before entering the sleep state. This is when we are very relaxed.

The theta brainwave is activated during concentrated, meditative movement and different states of meditation, prayer, certain forms of music, relaxation, breathing practices, connecting with nature and art.

We can have light theta states and deep theta states. Theta can give us access to the unconscious mind and the body where blockages can be identified. This is affirmed with muscle testing.

The theta brainwave is the slowest frequency and induces relaxation in body, mind and spirit. We cannot create if we are tense. In sessions, we work together with verbal communication, inquiry, muscle testing and meditation.

The brain performs at it’s best when it has the space to be creative. Theta acts on several regions of the brain creating a sense of euphoria and relaxation.

Theta healing can facilitate transformation, change, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, though only if this is the wish of recipient.

What is ThetaHealing®?

Theta healing is a form of mindset coaching. It differs from other coaching in that it facilitates the theta brainwave which is accessed through a specific theta meditation. It is not psychotherapy, counselling, hypnosis or a religion.

The Brainwaves Explained

Brain waves are measured by frequency, which is cycles per second, or hertz (Hz), and they range from very slow to very fast. Alpha waves fit in the middle of the spectrum, between theta waves and beta waves.

The predominant frequency when we are fully awake and alert. Providing active awareness directed to the outer world.  Beta brainwaves make up much of our conscious mind.

Too much time in the beta state weakens the immune system. Beta brainwaves are present during stress, paranoia, worry, bipolar disorder, anger, fear, and anxiety. These waves are also present during hunger, depression, irritability, and moodiness. Insomnia is the result of producing excessive beta waves. They are associated with excessive mind chatter and self-destructive impulses.

Delta waves are linked to the unconscious part of our mind. Many scientists believe delta waves to be the most beneficial to rejuvenation and healing.  Delta waves are said to be the entrance to non-physical states of reality.  A crucial state for renewal, healing, and rejuvenation. The immune system strengthens in the delta state. The delta state is associated with “no thinking” during deep, dreamless sleep. Delta brainwaves are very rewarding.

Alpha waves dominate the first layer of our subconscious mind.

In the alpha state, fears, habits, and phobias begin to melt away. Alpha brainwaves bring an effortless sense of comfort, peace, happiness, and harmony. Alpha waves are best for "super learning". A gateway to deeper states of awareness.

Alpha waves are important because they can reduce your stress levels and help you feel calmer. If you’re able to produce alpha brain waves, you’re probably able to tap into a state that can help you get some rest. When we meditate, alpha waves are present in the posterior of the brain. This helps us to be in the flow and to be fully present and in the moment, focused and more productive.

Being in alpha we can improve the functioning of the digestive system, promote a deeper relaxation of muscles, and an increase in the percentage of oxygen and blood flowing to the brain.

Theta brainwaves become prominent when we go deeper into meditation and relaxation — “almost trance-like”.  Here, brain activity decelerates to the threshold of the sleep stage. One of the more indescribable and wonderful realms we can explore.

Theta waves produce flashes of creative visualisation through vivid imagery. In the theta state we feel much more open and connected to other people. People often report a feeling of floating while producing theta brainwaves.

The theta state heightens problem-solving skills. Having dominant theta brainwaves are correlated with insight and intuition. They are associated with lucid dreaming. Theta waves bring inspired thought and increased motivation.  Sometimes long-forgotten memories come to the surface.

Children have strong theta brainwaves, which helps to explain their superior ability to learn. Theta waves are briefly experienced as we climb out of the depths of delta upon waking, or when falling asleep. The theta state is the deeper subconscious to unconscious part of the mind.

Regular practise of meditation, relaxation techniques, somatic body work, healing, and forest bathing can help entrain the brain to be more balanced and easily access brain states that promote well being and a sense of ease.

What will I need to commit?

To enter into a meditation together.

To create a sacred time and space for meditation that is uninterrupted, private and free from distractions.

To give permission to remove blockages and replace through a connection to the ‘higher power’ however you name or understand that to be.

To play an active part in the changes you wish to see through journaling, drawing, and a short daily meditation practice.

To test and affirm beliefs through simple muscle testing techniques ( kinesiology).

Commitment to the change and breaking free from assumptions and limited beliefs.
